Birthday Party Favors: How to Coordinate Your Favors with Your Party

 

Do you want to make fun favors for your child's next birthday party? Do you want to be more creative than just stuffing some candy into a plastic bag? Not that candy is a bad favor because many kids love eating it. If you want to find some cool ideas for favors, you have come to the right place.

 

If you are having a party with a theme, you can try to match your favors and their packaging with the theme. For example, if you are having a barnyard theme, you can get small bags made out of burlap. You can choose a number of different favors, such as small horseshoes, like a necklace charm, or plastic farm animal toys. A keychain with a farm animal or a tractor would work well too.

 

If you are having a princess themed party, you can buy pink mesh bags and fill them with inexpensive makeup like lip gloss, eye shadow and blush. You can also choose to stuff your bags with candy necklaces and bracelets. If you want to give out your favors at the beginning of the party, you can include a small tiara for each guest that she can wear during the party.

 

If you are having a cupcake themed party, you can give out your favors before the party ends. First, you fill small bags with cupcake decorating supplies. In each bag you can put a small tube of icing, a packet of sprinkles, and other edible cake decorations. You can bake all the cupcakes before the party, and simply hand out the plain cupcakes for your guests to decorate and eat.

 

In addition to making or buying creative favors, you can also create creative ways for the kids to get their favors. For example, you can stuff a piñata with small toys instead of candy or you can have the kids fish for their favors. All you have to do is take a broom stick and tie some string to it. You have to make a hook (a wire coat hanger works well for this) and attach it to the string. Now you set up the favor bags (they will need to have handles) on the ground, and let each child try to hook their own bag.
