You can have this theme placed in the invitations, and ask the invited kids to wear princess dresses as well. For the boys invited in the party, have them dressed in handsome prince dresses. Don`t forget a shiny tiara and wand or scepter for your precious daughter on her big royal day. A similar theme to this would be a fairy theme where everyone wears wings and face paint. Did your daughter just love princesses when she was growing up? Did you have a Cinderella birthday party when she was five years old? Is she a pre-teen or teenager now, and are you wondering what you should do for her upcoming birthday party? Of course, now her tastes are more refined, and she would not be caught dead admitting that she still likes Cinderella. Nonetheless, most girls, young and old, still want to be treated like a princess, and you can create a great birthday party around that idea.

 

If you contact a few hair salons or spas, you will likely find one that will host your birthday party. You can take the birthday girl and a few of her friends to the spa for a day of pampering and fun. Most spas will treat you to drinks and snacks, and you can even bring your own snacks for the party. You might not have time to do everything the spa can offer, but you should talk to your daughter and see what she wants to do the most. For example, you can do facials and makeovers, or you can choose manicures and pedicures for the whole group. If you have a very active teen, she might appreciate massages for everyone. If you choose to go to a salon, you can get up-does for everyone.

 

If you are on a tight budget, you can do many of these things at home. If you or a friend is handy with hair, you can do your own special hairstyles at the house. The girls can do each other's nails. Once everyone is all dolled up they can go to dinner at a restaurant or in the house, and they can go to the movies. Within the princess for a day theme, you might suggest that they watch some of the old movies like Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. They might actually enjoy watching the movies that they have not seen since they were much younger.

 

After visiting a salon, you can do something different, if you do not want to bother with dinner or a movie. A neat idea is to take the girls to a place that lets you make your own jewelry. A lot of bead and jewelry shops will have classes. This way they can make their own jewelry to take home after the party is over.

 

Whatever you decide to do, it is always a good idea to make the birthday girl feel like a princess for the day on her birthday.
