Don`t forget a shiny tiara and wand or scepter for your precious daughter on her big royal day. A similar theme to this would be a fairy theme where everyone wears wings and face paint. When it comes to having a birthday party in your home, you need to know all the tips and tricks to make things run as smoothly as possible.

 

Food

 

One of the most important things that you have to remember for your party is to have enough food for everyone. Nothing is more disappointing than not having enough cake to go around. The best way to make sure that you have enough food is to know how many people will be coming. When people contact you to RSVP, you should make sure to ask if just the children are coming or if their parents will be attending as well. Once you know how many people are coming, you might want to add a few more people to the final number in case you have a few extra guests come to the party. It's always better to have too much food than too little, and you can send people home with the extra food.

 

You might want to use paper or plastic products so that the cleanup will be easy. Setting a large trashcan or trash bag somewhere that your guests can access it will help you with the clean up as well. If you aren't using cupcakes as your desert, you might want to use floss or fishing line to cut your cake. These two things cut icing better than a knife does.

 

Planning

 

When you are planning your party, you want to make sure that you take care of the details ahead of time. You do not want to be trying to reserve a venue a few days before your party. If you are having the party at home, then it won't be a problem, but you still have to consider rentals (if you have any), decorating, and buying food. Nothing is more frustrating than realizing you don't have something you need for the party on the day of the party. One of the best ways to stay organized is to make a list of all the things that you need for the party. This way you won't forget anything. When you are planning, you want to make sure to send out the invitations a few weeks ahead of the party so that your guests will have time to make sure that they can come.

 

If you make sure to plan accordingly, you will have a wonderful birthday party that people will be talking about for months.
