For a princess birthday party, you should get ready to cover your house in colors like pink and purple. You should prepare some princess themed activities, like crown building, dress up, and jewelry making. You can choose from any of the Disney princesses. You have the more traditional princesses, like Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine or Ariel, and you have the more modern princesses, like Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana. You might want to let the birthday girl tell you who her favorite princess is. There are other princesses too, like storybook princesses or Peach from Mario.

 

When you are preparing the food for a princess party, you have a lot of options, just like you have a lot of princesses to choose from. You can order and buy a cake that features whatever Disney princess you choose. You can also make a cake that features the princess you choose. An easy option is to make a fairly simple cake and decorate it with plastic figurines. You can usually find small toys (action figures) that work really well for this. You can also make a cake that is in the shape of your favorite princess. It is actually fairly easy to do this. All you need to do is bake a rectangular cake and let it cool completely. Then you cut out a large triangle, which will be the bottom of the dress, and you cut out a smaller triangle, which will be the top half of the body. You can cut out a circle for the head (a cookie cutter works well for this) or you can use a cupcake. After that all you have to do is ice it.

 

If you are not feeling up to creating your own cake, you could always try cupcakes. You can arrange a bunch of cupcakes to look like a princess or you can simply make princess themed cupcakes for everyone.
